Hi, I'm Sonya (left) and I’m a U.S. Army Veteran, certified yoga instructor, certified nutritionist, and entrepreneur with a BS in Biology. I co-founded Dream Shape Body Contouring with my best friend and business partner after she was diagnosed with a heart condition that made traditional weight loss methods—like surgery or diet pills—too risky. She became a client of body contouring services but felt overlooked and undervalued. Many spas were cold and clinical, and the treatments—while effective—were far too expensive to maintain. We knew there had to be a better, more affordable, and empowering way to help people feel confident in their bodies.

That’s why we created Dream Shape: a wellness spa offering non-invasive, holistic services that support transformation from the inside out. Our passion comes from watching clients—many of whom are women, mothers, veterans, or active-duty service members—finally feel seen, supported, and strong again. At Dream Shape, we focus on the whole person, combining wellness, self-love, and real results.

As a minority-, female-, and veteran-owned business, I’m proud to create safe spaces where healing and growth can happen. With this Kiva loan, we plan to expand into a larger location, train a team of wellness professionals, and launch retreats and corporate wellness programs to serve even more people in our community. We're building more than a spa—we're building a movement rooted in accessibility, care, and confidence.
