Adriana's story

For more than 20 years I was an entrepreneur in Venezuela, where I managed an advertising products company. Due to the economic crisis in my country, I decided to start over and look for a more sustainable way of life. I trained in regenerative livestock farming and artisanal cheese production. That experience connected me deeply with the land and the need to offer healthy food.

In 2021 I immigrated to the United States with the dream of developing a sustainable farm. Thus was born La Margarita Organic Farm, located in Florida, where I am starting the production of hydroponic watercress, Caribbean sweet pepper and fresh eggs, without chemicals or pesticides. I already have a distributor who is committed to buy all the production.

My goal is to provide fresh, healthy food grown with respect for the environment, while creating opportunities for other women farmers in my community. This loan will help me complete the initial infrastructure and achieve continuous, sustainable, local-impact production.
