Rony's story
My name is Rony. I’m 30 years old and originally from Valencia, Venezuela. From a young age, I worked as an administrative assistant while studying Business Administration. I had the opportunity to grow professionally in different roles at a new car dealership, until I eventually started my own business selling auto parts.
In 2019, due to political and gender-based persecution, I was forced to leave my country. I moved to Ecuador, but I faced many challenges there as well. I worked in various jobs, including cleaning, and also made and sold artisanal cheese.
That allowed me to save enough money to come to the United States in 2023 as a refugee. It’s been a difficult journey, but I’ve always been driven by the hope of building a better life.
