A loan of $9,500 helps a black woman-owned cleaning business acquire equipment to expand our services.
Shatavia's story
Growing up I was always taught to support yourself, speak highly about yourself, motivate yourself, and pray for yourself. I was the kid straightening out shelves in stores and helping my mom around the house. I have always enjoyed cleaning and organizing. For myself, the highlight of any project is seeing the before and after results.
Currently, I am a black women business owner of a cleaning business. I take pride in being able to create a meaningful opportunity for myself and provide for my family as a business owner. Over the last three years I have developed and grown my custodian franchise business. I currently service ten business accounts all throughout the Greater Milwaukee area including West Allis, Greenfield, Mequon, Greendale, New Berlin , Brookfield and Menomonee Falls. I am also wife and proud mother of three with a College Associate Degree in Liberal Arts of Science.
I want to help those in need reduce the stress in their lives with cleaning and organizing. I know sometimes life is difficult and we fall behind on the simplest of things. It can be overwhelming. I do my very best to help my clients enjoy a clean healthy home or workplace. Becoming a business owner for me has been a perfect fit and owning a commercial cleaning company has offered me flexibility, independence, scalability and a recurring income. With my investment and our high-demand service, I have been able to create a business that not only help others but also has given me a deep sense of personal fulfillment, satisfaction, and a sense of accomplishment.
