Norma Margarita's story

Norma Margarita and her family live in Los Bajos de Montecristi, a place known for its crafts with toquilla straw, wicker, piquigua fiber, and wood. They also make fine toquilla straw hats, known as Panamá Hats, which are well-known inside and outside of the country.

Norma Margarita and her husband work selling fruits and legumes, buying fresh products in different markets of the city, and then selling at their house and through different sectors of the city.

They work from Monday through Saturday, and they also raise and sell chickens, which they sell when they are big enough and with a proper weight to merchants that buy them alive.

This loan will be used to buy carrots, lettuces, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, small chickens, compound animal feed, etc.
