Blanca is one of the members of the lending group San Lorenzo Successful Women and mother to three children. She currently runs a restaurant which she operates from a small shop that she rents. As a street vendor she brings her meals to specific locations to widen her reach.
Thanks to access to a group loan she was able to expand her business and improve her income. This also benefited her family. Her dream is to have her own shop where she can establish a permanent restaurant and offer better service to her customers. With the current loan, Blanca plans to invest in a variety of essential supplies for making her meals: meat, chicken, cheese, olives, potato, corn, onion, tomato, oil and boxes for for pizza. This investment will allow her to continue offering quality homemade meals which are highly valued by those who know them.
The lending group to which she belongs is made up of entrepreneurial women dedicated to a variety of activities like selling clothes, fast food and some have shops. Together they support each other to strengthen their small businesses and improve their quality of life and that of their family's. The boy in the photo is the son of one of the members of the group.
