A loan helped to purchase five additional cows.

Yêu's story

Mrs. Yêu is 50 years old and married with grown-up children. Currently, she and her husband live in a small house located in Ngoc Lac district, a mountainous area in Thanh Hoa province.

Living in a modest dwelling, Yêu and her husband navigate their lives as part of the ethnic minority, relying on a combination of agriculture and craftsmanship to sustain their family. While her husband works as a skilled construction worker, Yêu tends to the cultivation of crops and the care of livestock. To supplement their income further, she also takes on additional employment opportunities, working on neighboring farms.

With aspirations to expand their agricultural activities, particularly in cattle farming, Yêu envisions a more prosperous future. However, the lack of capital poses a significant hurdle. Seeking to overcome this obstacle, she has decided to apply for this first loan from Thanh Hóa MFI to purchase five additional cows, each priced at $372, providing Yêu with the means to nurture and later sell them to local traders.

This loan is special because:

It supports women from ethnic communities and single parent families.
