A loan helped to buy supplies for her bakery and a machine to improve her daily production.

Enyerli Mariana's story

Enyerli Mariana is a 32-year-old Venezuelan woman who arrived in Ecuador in 2018. She migrated with her partner and children because of the critical economic and social situation in her home country.

Upon arriving in Ecuador, she took any job in order to generate income to sustain her household. It was a very difficult situation because she only found low-paying jobs that left her extremely tired.

One day, she decided to make bread that is traditionally served with many Venezuelan dishes. Enyerli Mariana started selling to friends and acquaintances who enjoyed this type of bread. She started making bread in small batches, but over time, her sales increased. During the pandemic, she made home deliveries without charging extra because her only intention was to grow her business, which generated results.

Enyerli Mariana now has a bakery with six employees. She is constantly making deliveries at the moment because she distributes bread to fast food carts throughout the city.

Enyerli Mariana is very happy to be in Ecuador and says that it is a country of opportunities. The loan she is requesting will be used to buy supplies for her bakery and a machine to improve her daily production.
