A loan helped a member to stock up on pagnes and bowls to strengthen her initial capital.

La Benediction Divine Group's story

Fatuma belongs to the microfinance institution Hekima and is the leader of the business group "La Benediction Divine". She is married, thirty-two years old and the mother of five children, all of whom attend school. Her partner is a technician.

She sells pagnes and bowls. She started this business eleven years ago with start-up funds from her husband. Later she joined Hekima's program to support her business as it developed gradually. With this new loan, she plans to stock up on pagnes and bowls, to strengthen her initial capital. Her main business challenge is related to a lack of customers.

She would like to construct a house. She would also like to thank Hekima and its partners for supporting business owners without access to traditional banking services, especially given the Covid-19 global pandemic. Only the group leader is shown in the photo due to Covid-19.

In this group: Sylvain, Fatuma, Micheline, Deogratias
